Director of Cost Controls

Job Summary

Leading project controls for multiple large-scale projects, the full-time Director of Cost Controls will manage schedules, budgets, and risks while collaborating with teams to develop cost estimates and mentor staff in a remote role with some travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project controls to ensure effective management of project schedules, budgets, and risks
• Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost estimates and monitor financial performance
• Identify risks and create mitigation strategies to ensure project success and client satisfaction

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in cost management within the construction industry
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Cost-X or On-Screen Takeoff
• Professional certifications in project management or cost management (e.g., AACE, RICS) preferred
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Deep understanding of construction techniques, market pricing, and procurement processes
