Director of Customer Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of Customer Program Managers, the full-time salaried Director of Customer Engineering will oversee the deployment, adoption, and lifecycle support of AMD compute and AI solutions across Cloud, HPC, and Sovereign AI customers, based in Santa Clara, California.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and scale the Cloud, HPC & Sovereign AI Customer Engineering organization for strategic customer deployments and lifecycle management
• Drive successful deployment, adoption, and operational readiness of AMD compute and AI solutions
• Serve as the executive escalation point for strategic customer issues and ensure resolution of complex technical challenges

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Experience leading customer-facing engineering or technical program management teams
• Proven track record in managing large-scale cloud, AI, HPC, or datacenter deployments
• Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure and operational readiness
• Experience working with hyperscalers, cloud providers, and HPC customers
