Director of Data

Job Summary

Leading the data organization in a full-time remote capacity, the Director of Data will drive the technical execution of the data strategy, build scalable data infrastructure, and ensure compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures that integrate healthcare payer and provider systems into unified records
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence
• Partner with the CTO to define and execute the long-term data strategy and technology roadmap

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare data with a deep understanding of payer and provider ecosystems
• Advanced proficiency in data architecture, engineering, and science methodologies
• Expert-level experience with Databricks and modern data stack technologies (Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams in high-growth environments
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory landscape (HIPAA, HITECH, FDA, CMS requirements)
