Director of Data and AI Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data and AI Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design and governance of the modern data stack, ensuring data quality and integrity
• Manage and mentor a team of AI and data engineers, aligning team priorities with company objectives
• Lead the design and development of AI-powered features, implementing integrations and workflows to solve business problems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Python, and LLM Integration (AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI API)
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring engineers, including hiring and performance management
• Ability to work independently and lead a team in a decentralized, hybrid environment
