Director of Data and BI

Job Summary

To build a robust data foundation, the full-time remote Director of Data and BI will define the data strategy, architect a central data warehouse, and establish governance standards to ensure consistent metrics across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's data strategy and roadmap, aligning with operational needs across departments
• Architect and implement a central data warehouse as the single source of truth for company data
• Design and administer business intelligence tools, enabling self-service reporting and building executive dashboards

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence with end-to-end data warehouse ownership
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI) for executive reporting
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with data from CRM, ERP, and billing systems
• Proven ability to establish data governance and definitions in an organization
