Director of Data Enablement

Job Summary

Leading the operational backbone of a data organization, the fully remote Director of Data Enablement will manage the data product lifecycle, oversee data governance, and ensure reporting excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a healthcare technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the data platform, ensuring data availability and quality across teams
• Build and operationalize a data governance framework, including data lineage and compliance readiness
• Lead and develop an internal team and contractor capacity, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform, or analytics engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity
• Demonstrated experience in building or maturing a data governance framework in a production environment
• Track record of operationalizing data products from research or experimental outputs into reliable, governed systems
• Experience with modern data stack tooling such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent
• Deep understanding of medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and AI/ML data requirements
