Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of data engineers while developing strategic roadmaps for data architecture and pipelines
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards while managing data governance practices
• Build cross-functional relationships and prioritize trade-offs between technical debt and innovation

Required Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in big data technologies, including pySpark, dbt, and Databricks
• 5+ years of experience managing Data or Analytic Engineers
• Experience designing and implementing flexible data architectures with a focus on data quality
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM major
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and data anonymization practices
