Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director - Data Engineering to lead the design and operation of a cloud-based data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Data Engineering and Business Intelligence strategy for enterprise initiatives
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and operational excellence
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, services, and analytics products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, healthcare, analytics, or a related field; Master's preferred
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• 3+ years of experience with medical claims in healthcare and/or managed care
• Strong expertise in building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and programming languages such as Python or Spark
