Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term strategy for the data platform, including ingestion, transformation, testing, orchestration, and delivery
• Architect and operate scalable, reliable ELT pipelines in a cloud-native environment
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing data engineering team while ensuring data quality and accessibility for downstream consumers

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role at the Director+ level
• Proven success building and scaling modern data platforms and ELT pipelines in SaaS or high-growth environments
• Deep expertise in cloud-native ecosystems, including S3, Lambda, and IAM
• Strong proficiency with Snowflake, dbt, Prefect, and Python
• Experience delivering data platforms that support both analytics and ML/AI use cases
