Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and own the technical and organizational vision for data engineering
• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the core data platform
• Translate company strategy into clear data investments and articulate their customer value

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related software engineering roles
• Hands-on experience designing and operating production data systems
• Fluency in Python and SQL, with experience in modern cloud data warehouses, especially BigQuery
• Experience leading teams and mentoring others
• BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent experience
