Job Summary

Director of Data Engineering leads a full-time team focused on architecting data ecosystems, managing technical roadmaps, and ensuring compliance for AI and data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, conducting performance reviews and setting career development plans
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify data needs and construct technical roadmaps for data initiatives
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure data privacy, AI safety, and compliance while overseeing scalable data architecture

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Engineering or Technical Strategy, with 3+ years in a leadership role
• Experience managing cloud data infrastructure, preferably in GCP with BigQuery, Dagster, and dbt
• Ability to architect AI solutions using Python or TypeScript
• Strong foundation in API integrations, data structuring (JSON, SQL), and event-driven pipelines
• Preferred experience in EdTech or B2B SaaS
