Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the development of data architecture and engineering strategies, the remote Director of Data Engineering will manage the technological infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring a high-performing architecture team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise architecture strategy to support business objectives
• Provide leadership in designing architecture for systems, applications, and data infrastructure
• Collaborate with business leaders to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture or software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML, data platforms, and cloud-native technologies
• Experience with enterprise data systems such as Snowflake, Salesforce, or NetSuite preferred
• Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills to articulate complex technical concepts
