Job Summary

Leading a high-performing data engineering organization, the full-time salaried Director of Data Engineering will architect and govern data infrastructure while driving technical roadmaps for AI enablement and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development of scalable data pipelines using cloud-native technologies and modern frameworks
• Manage a team of data engineers to deliver quality code and foster a culture of engineering excellence
• Influence the vision for data products and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and AI readiness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, preferably in healthcare
• Deep understanding of data engineering architectures and cloud-native platforms like AWS and Databricks
• Proven expertise in enterprise data architecture design and implementation on cloud platforms
• Experience leading large data engineering teams, focusing on high performance and customer satisfaction
• Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, and security best practices, including HIPAA compliance
