Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

As a strategic and technical leader, the full-time salaried Director of Data Engineering will oversee the data and measurement ecosystem for client projects, managing data capture, governance, and reporting while ensuring a cohesive and scalable platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the multi-quarter data technology roadmap, aligning it with client business goals
• Architect and manage the end-to-end BI stack, including ingestion, transformation, and modeling across Snowflake and BigQuery
• Serve as the technical authority on marketing data strategy and compliance, ensuring effective data tracking and measurement

Required qualifications

• 8-10+ years in data engineering, analytics, or marketing technology with senior leadership experience
• Deep experience with Snowflake and BigQuery, including strong SQL skills
• Proven expertise in Looker / LookML for visualization and semantic layers
• Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in ETL/ELT processes across AWS and Google Cloud Platform
• Working knowledge of privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR) and their impact on data tracking
