Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the strategic vision for enterprise data engineering and business applications, the full-time Director of Data Engineering will manage the architecture and lifecycle of data pipelines and application systems while collaborating with cross-functional leaders in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for enterprise data engineering, including data pipelines and integration frameworks
• Oversee the lifecycle management of business applications, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with business goals
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data engineers and application specialists, establishing engineering standards and performance metrics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data engineering or enterprise application management, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role
• Demonstrated experience with large-scale data platforms using modern cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
• Proven track record managing enterprise business application portfolios and leading modernization initiatives
• Relevant certifications in cloud data platforms or data engineering preferred
