Director of Data Engineering
Job Summary
To build and lead the technical foundation of Boulevard's data ecosystem, the full-time remote Director of Data Engineering will manage data infrastructure, governance, and machine learning capabilities while ensuring data-driven product innovation and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term technical strategy for the data platform, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, establishing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence
- Collaborate with Product Management and Data Insights teams to deliver customer-facing reporting and analytics features
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering or infrastructure engineering with expertise in scalable data processing systems
- 5+ years of people management experience, including managing senior engineers and technical leads
- Proven track record of building data platforms and ML systems for internal analytics and customer-facing products
- Strong experience with modern data stack technologies such as dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake
- Deep understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and security best practices
