Director of Data Engineering
Job Summary
Leading the strategy and execution of enterprise data platforms, the full-time remote Director of Data Engineering will manage high-performing teams to build scalable, AI-ready data foundations and drive modernization efforts across cloud-native architectures.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and drive the enterprise data engineering and AI platform vision
- Lead multiple data engineering teams in the development of data pipelines, products, and real-time streaming solutions
- Establish data governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements
Required qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with AI and creating agentic solutions
- Solid knowledge of Unix and shell scripting
- Understanding of data warehouse principles and Azure architecture
- Familiarity with QA and testing automation processes
