Director of Data Engineering
Job Summary
Providing strategic and technical leadership, the full-time remote Director of Data Engineering will set the vision and architecture for scalable enterprise data platforms, aligning data investments with business priorities while building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the enterprise data engineering roadmap aligned with strategic technology and business objectives
- Oversee the design and evolution of enterprise data platforms, ensuring they meet security, performance, and operational excellence standards
- Lead initiatives to improve data platform reliability and engineering productivity through automation and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Deep expertise in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT architectures, and cloud data warehouse platforms like Snowflake
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services and implementing modern engineering practices
- Proven ability to influence executive leadership and align technology strategy with business objectives
