Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the department's data governance strategy, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
• Oversee data quality control policies and the cataloging of data assets to enhance decision-making and reporting
• Lead collaborative groups in the effective management and protection of critical data across the organization

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Ten years of relevant experience in a related occupation, including two years in formal data governance
• Experience in public or business administration, including budget management
• Four years of experience as a cross-functional project manager
• Proficiency with data management and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
• Knowledge of education-related regulations, such as FERPA and state-specific education data laws (preferred)
