Director of Data Governance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Governance to lead the execution of its enterprise-wide data and AI governance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Enterprise Data & AI Governance Program, ensuring alignment with ethical and regulatory standards
• Oversee governance strategies across the data and AI/ML lifecycle, from design to monitoring
• Define KPIs and governance health metrics to track data quality and compliance

Required Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience in data governance, AI/ML governance, or data-centric risk/compliance roles
• Strong understanding of data governance tools and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)
• Familiarity with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA
• Hands-on experience with data and AI tooling (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Databricks)
• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or related discipline preferred
