Director of Data Governance

Job Summary

To operationalize enterprise data governance, the remote Director of Data Governance will manage the execution and scaling of governance frameworks, partner with the Data Governance Officer, and drive adoption of data stewardship across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support the operationalization of enterprise data governance, including implementing roles and accountability frameworks
• Partner with the Data Governance Officer to prepare materials and track decisions for the Enterprise Data Council (EDC)
• Drive adoption of the federated data stewardship model and establish ownership across business domains

Required qualifications

• 10-12+ years of experience in data, analytics, technology, or architecture with a focus on data governance programs
• Experience operationalizing governance frameworks within complex, federated organizations
• Strong understanding of data ownership models, stewardship, and data standards
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
• Familiarity with data governance tooling and AI governance considerations
