Director of Data Management
Job Summary
Leading the design and modernization of an enterprise data platform, the full-time hybrid Director of Data Management will oversee the migration to Azure Databricks Lakehouse, manage a data engineering team, and align data strategies with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise data platform strategy, ensuring scalability and performance
- Oversee data modernization efforts, including migration from legacy systems to Azure Databricks Lakehouse
- Lead and mentor data engineers, ensuring delivery accountability and technical excellence
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or platform leadership, with at least 5 years in team management
- Expertise with Azure Data Services and hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse
- Familiarity with streaming/real-time ingestion technologies such as Kafka or Event Hub
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data warehousing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business/data analytics, or a related field
