Director of Data Platform

Job Summary

To drive one of the largest enterprise AI and data transformations in the industry, the contract Director of Data Platform will architect and evolve the enterprise Data Platform as a Service (DPaaS) strategy while collaborating with business leaders and engineering teams to implement scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the enterprise Data Platform as a Service (DPaaS) strategy for scalable and governed data capabilities
• Design modern cloud-native data platforms to support enterprise analytics, AI/ML, and operational reporting
• Establish platform standards for metadata management, data lineage, and enterprise governance while driving adoption of data products

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
• 6+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud architectures
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery and modern cloud-native data services
• Strong experience in designing enterprise semantic layers and self-service analytics capabilities
• Experience with modern data engineering technologies such as dbt, Apache Airflow, and Terraform
