Director of Data Platforms
Job Summary
Leading the engineering layer of the Zelis Data Cloud, the full-time Director of Data Platforms will manage Snowflake platform architecture, foundational tooling, and platform governance while ensuring scalability and security in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own Snowflake platform engineering and scalability, including architecture, roadmap, and disaster recovery
- Build and manage the data DevOps stack, ensuring CI/CD processes and environment automation are in place
- Define platform governance and security standards, collaborating with Security and Compliance on HIPAA and data protection
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in data platform or data engineering, with 4+ years in engineering leadership
- Deep experience in Snowflake platform architecture and performance tuning at an enterprise scale
- Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code for data platforms
- Proven experience in platform governance and security, particularly with sensitive data protection
- Experience in setting reference architecture and standards across multiple teams
