Director of Data Privacy

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Data Privacy & Information Governance to join their Information Governance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement global governance controls to drive adoption of information governance requirements across systems and processes worldwide
• Advise on compliance by applying GDPR, NIST, contract law, and clinical regulations to real-world scenarios
• Lead or monitor governance projects, ensuring alignment with global standards and represent governance programs in client meetings and audits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology, science, computer science, law, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in applying information governance controls, data privacy, and security technology
• Experience in contract review and negotiation related to data-use obligations
• CRO experience is strongly preferred; pharma experience may be considered
• Preferred certifications include CIPP, CIPM, or a JD/equivalent legal background
