Director of Data Science

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Science to lead a team in developing data science capabilities for business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional discussions to leverage Data Science capabilities for solving business problems
• Supervises a team of data scientists and data engineers to deliver analytical solutions
• Presents analytical insights and business recommendations to external partners and senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or other STEM fields with 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry or related field
• PhD in Mathematics, Engineering, or other STEM fields preferred with 8+ years of relevant experience
• 4+ years of experience leading an analytic team
• At least 8 years of experience with Statistical Modeling and various AI/ML platforms
• Strong domain knowledge in property and casualty insurance products and pricing, with a preference for experience in commercial lines pricing models
