Director of Data Science

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Data Science to lead and scale its data science function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the vision and roadmap for Data Science
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Data Science team
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to optimize pricing, search, and recommendations

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and scaling data science teams
• Deep expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn)
• Experience working with large-scale data sets, cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and data pipelines
