Director of Data Science

Job Summary

To support a growing data science team, the full-time Director of Data Science will manage and mentor data scientists, integrate AI-assisted development practices, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to drive impactful data solutions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team of data scientists focused on modeling key business problems
• Evangelizing the data science team's capabilities and integrating with cross-functional teams to build a roadmap of solutions
• Leading the adoption of AI-assisted development workflows, ensuring quality standards are met

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of Data Science management experience with a team of more than 3
• 5+ years of overall modeling/data science experience
• Deep technical expertise in SQL and Python, with familiarity in analytics and machine learning tools
• A Master's or PhD in a quantitative field is strongly preferred
• Hands-on familiarity with modern AI-assisted coding tools and their application in data science
