Director of Data Science

Job Summary

Owning the analytical strategy for member engagement, the full-time remote Director of Data Science will manage the end-to-end marketing funnel, lead experimentation programs, and develop attribution models while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the analytical strategy for member activation and retention, overseeing the marketing funnel and lifecycle analytics
• Design and implement Foodsmart's experimentation program, ensuring rigorous test design and causal inference methodologies
• Develop and maintain attribution frameworks and dbt data models to enhance data quality and support self-service analytics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field; Master's degree is a plus
• 12+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
• Proven expertise in experimentation, causal inference, and attribution modeling
• Hands-on experience with product analytics instrumentation and lifecycle analytics platforms
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and strong proficiency in Python, along with deep experience in dbt
