Director of Data Science

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Director of Data Science, the full-time remote position will manage technical leadership and execution of AI strategies, architecting solutions, and leading a high-performing team to align Data Science priorities with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy complex data science and machine learning systems while defining best practices for AI/ML solutions
• Lead and develop a small team of data scientists, providing guidance, performance management, and career development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Data Science work into the broader product strategy and ensure alignment with customer needs

Required qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI systems, with demonstrated technical leadership
• 3 to 5+ years of experience leading and growing a data science or AI team
• Proven track record of architecting and deploying machine learning models and AI capabilities into production
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, along with experience in machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
