Director of Datacenter Architecture

Job Summary

To lead the development of integrated quantum computing systems, the full-time salaried Director of Datacenter Architecture will define system-level requirements, manage architecture and delivery models, and collaborate with partners for manufacturability and deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the system requirements specification including form factor, power, thermal performance, and redundancy
• Define the delivery strategy and manage cross-subsystem trade-offs to ensure cohesive product integration
• Collaborate with partners on design for manufacturability and test access from the project's inception

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hardware systems engineering, with at least 3 years focused on directing system architecture for rack-mounted networking or datacenter products
• Strong understanding of datacenter hardware constraints including airflow, power delivery, and serviceability
• Experience taking a system from specification through prototype to production with a partner or contract manufacturer
• Familiarity with datacenter cabling and high-density front-panel port counts
• Ability to write clear specifications for engineering teams to build against
