Director of Design Strategy
Job Summary
Leading strategic design initiatives in a remote capacity, the full-time Director of Design Strategy will manage a team, foster a collaborative design culture, and drive business development efforts to enhance Nava's design practice.
Key responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and delivery-focused design culture while promoting high standards of design excellence
- Manage a team of up to eight direct reports, providing mentorship and guidance on design challenges
- Contribute to business development through proposal development and identifying new delivery capabilities in the Design Org
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a human-centered design practitioner
- 5+ years of direct people management experience and team leadership
- Deep experience in creative, strategic, technical, managerial, and operational aspects of design
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders and partners
- Experience in developing strategy and conducting long-term planning in a design context
