Director of Development

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Development to lead and expand its fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short- and long-term fundraising strategies
• Strengthen individual giving efforts through donor relationships and targeted appeals
• Oversee day-to-day development operations and manage fundraising activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 10 years in nonprofit fundraising
• Proven track record of securing and growing major gifts from individual donors and foundations
• Strong understanding of the organization's issues and donor interests
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in donor cultivation, grant writing, and campaign management
