Director of Development

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Development to lead its engineering team and drive technical execution of the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, focusing on retention and career development
• Own engineering delivery, including sprint planning, capacity management, and team health metrics
• Champion AI-powered product development and adoption of AI-assisted development tools within the engineering team

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in an engineering leadership role
• Proven success in leading and growing engineering teams, including hiring and performance management
• Experience delivering complex software projects in an Agile environment
• Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling and AI/ML integration patterns
• Hands-on experience with AWS and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and tooling
