Director of Development

Job Summary

Leading fundraising strategies and revenue generation efforts, the part-time contract Director of Development will cultivate donor relationships, secure grants, and manage the fundraising pipeline in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including grants and donations
• Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with donors, ensuring engagement and appreciation
• Oversee grant writing and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with funder requirements

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working with Indigenous communities and tribes
• 7+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development for US-based nonprofits
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field
• Proven track record of successful donor cultivation and fundraising campaign management
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-border environment
