Director of Development

Job Summary

Seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Development, the full-time remote position will lead fundraising and communications efforts, aiming to raise $2-2.5M annually while enhancing brand visibility and donor engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a unified fundraising and communications strategy to drive revenue growth and strengthen audience engagement
• Manage relationships with major donors and oversee the creation of compelling proposals and stewardship strategies
• Lead external communications, ensuring cohesive messaging and storytelling that effectively communicates organizational impact

Required qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of experience in fundraising and communications with a focus on donor management
• Proven management and strategic planning experience, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in nurturing talent and fostering professional growth within a team
• Creative mindset with a willingness to experiment and allocate resources effectively
• Strong understanding of fundraising as a means to support organizational goals and initiatives
