Job Summary
Leading digital inclusion efforts, the full-time salaried Director of Digital Accessibility will oversee a multidisciplinary team, develop and execute an enterprise-wide digital accessibility plan aligned with WCAG standards, and provide strategic guidance to ensure accessible digital environments across the university in a remote work setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide digital accessibility plan that aligns with WCAG standards
- Provide guidance and education on best practices in digital accessibility to institutional stakeholders
- Oversee the Accessible Digital Review process and refine the Assistive Technology process to ensure equitable access
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in digital accessibility, inclusive design, or managing accessible digital products and services
- 3+ years of experience leading a team within a matrixed organization
- Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Disability Services, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Knowledge of current WCAG guidelines and universal/accessible design principles
- Experience presenting technical information to executive-level stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
