Key Responsibilities

• Aggressively monitor daily news for campaign-related opportunities and draft statements quickly
• Develop and pitch press releases and story ideas to generate earned media coverage
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and bloggers in the animal welfare sector

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PR, journalism, or advocacy with proven success in media placements
• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong phone and pitching skills
• Commitment to advancing animal welfare through legal and corporate change
• Experience in nonprofit advocacy or political communications is a plus
