Director of ELA Adoption Strategy

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of State Adoption Strategy - ELA.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a 50-state ELA adoption roadmap, including political and policy dynamics
• Serve as the ELA content and compliance owner for major state and district RFPs
• Build and maintain relationships with state education departments and influential literacy organizations

Required Qualifications

• Deep experience with ELA state adoptions in a publisher, edtech, or state-facing role
• Proven expertise in ELA standards, adoption rubrics, and research-based instructional criteria
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills
• Ability to influence without authority and operate at an executive level
• Comfort navigating long sales cycles and political complexity
