Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a distributed engineering team, the full-time Director of Engineering will manage the development of a data lineage and migration impact-analysis platform for regulated enterprises while ensuring delivery, quality, and security readiness in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee platform and product engineering, including QA, DevOps, and AI implementation
• Establish engineering discipline through automated testing, CI/CD, and secure deployment practices
• Collaborate with the Chief Architect on architecture decisions and product IP while building and retaining a strong engineering team

Required qualifications

• Proven engineering leadership experience with a track record of managing teams and delivering products
• Hands-on technical expertise in data platforms or backend systems
• Experience in building or rebuilding engineering functions in early-stage environments
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards for regulated industries, including SOC 2
• Strong understanding of AI applications in engineering processes
