Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering, Backend Platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the vision for data, APIs, and AI enablement and translate it into actionable initiatives
• Coach Engineering Managers and their teams, facilitating growth and leadership development
• Ensure backend systems are secure, performant, and observable while maintaining delivery speed

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading managers in backend or platform teams
• 6-10+ years of engineering experience with a focus on backend or infrastructure
• Experience in mentoring Engineering Managers and designing autonomous team structures
• Strong knowledge of backend platforms such as Node.js, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, and AWS
• History of driving multi-quarter platform roadmaps in product-led companies
