Director of Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead a mission-driven engineering team and integrate AI in product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a growing engineering team while balancing innovation and strategic scaling
• Recruit, develop, and oversee performance of engineers across Frontend, Backend, and QA
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and ship user-facing features and internal tools

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in management of frontend and backend engineers
• Experience building and scaling products in a startup or early-stage environment
• Proficiency in tech stack including React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, and Postgres
• Familiarity with AI-native coding workflows and tools
• Demonstrated ability to create inclusive team cultures and mentor engineers
