Director of Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering (User & Agentic Interfaces).

Key Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a growing organization of engineering managers and senior engineers across multiple teams
• Write production code regularly to maintain technical context and credibility
• Define technical vision for how humans and AI agents interact with the platform

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in frontend systems and APIs
• 4+ years leading engineering teams, including managing managers, while maintaining hands-on technical contributions
• Strong command of modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js) and full-stack development
• Experience with AI/ML systems, agent frameworks, and agentic protocols (MCP, A2A)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and modern deployment practices
