Director of Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering - Cloud & Reliability to lead infrastructure transformation and establish reliability practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices
• Drive architectural decisions and establish monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
• Mentor and grow a team of infrastructure and reliability engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Deep experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, RDS, and Terraform for infrastructure automation
• Proven experience in migrating applications to Kubernetes/EKS and implementing container-based architectures
• Strong background in security practices and compliance frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools, including DataDog and implementing alerting strategies
