Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead development practices and manage the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain development standards, best practices, and technical workflows across client projects
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of developers through regular check-ins, code reviews, and performance evaluations
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex architectural decisions and system design challenges

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with significant leadership or management experience
• Deep technical fluency across modern web development stacks, including APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and strong opinions on their integration into development workflows
• Proven ability to set engineering standards and hold a team accountable without micromanaging
• Strong architectural instincts for balancing simplicity and complexity in solutions
