Director of Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a small engineering team, overseeing project planning and prioritization
• Maintain and extend data pipelines, automations, and internal web applications while building new features as needed
• Oversee cloud infrastructure and ensure data systems are reliable, monitored, and resilient to failure

Required Qualifications

• Experience across the full data engineering stack in complex environments, preferably in electoral or advocacy settings
• 1+ years of people management experience or demonstrated experience leading a small technical team
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python and experience with web application backends
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP) and CI/CD tooling
• Familiarity with orchestration tools and transformation layers
