Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a strong product engineering team, the full-time salaried Director of Engineering will develop mission-critical products, including a new AI-powered platform, while managing a team of engineers and contributing to hands-on development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5-10 engineers while remaining hands-on with architecture and technical direction
• Contribute directly to the codebase to accelerate development velocity and establish high engineering standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional parent experience and align on strategy and priorities

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering management experience with medium-sized teams
• Strong experience with full-stack development: TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with AI-native development paradigms
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives from planning through execution and delivery
