Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a global engineering organization, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will manage a team of Engineering Managers and Software Engineers, focusing on engineering culture, technical execution, and the modernization of development processes, including AI integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse, remote engineering team while structuring engineering pods for maximum autonomy and alignment
• Oversee system scalability, architectural integrity, and technical debt management to ensure high performance and security of ad tech infrastructure
• Establish core engineering metrics and lead the strategic adoption of AI-augmented development tools to optimize delivery efficiency

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5+ years managing engineering managers in a SaaS or Ad Tech environment
• Proven track record of managing and scaling remote engineering teams
• Deep understanding of modern cloud architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with DORA metrics and engineering productivity frameworks
• Experience with AI tools and their application in improving engineering workflows
