Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the Corporate Giving domain, the full-time salaried Director of Engineering will build and manage a high-performing engineering organization, own the product roadmap for Deed, and oversee the migration to a modern disbursement service while ensuring compliance and delivering for enterprise clients in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Corporate Giving engineering organization, scaling from an early-stage team to a fully staffed, high-performing domain
• Own the technical direction and product roadmap for Corporate Giving, ensuring alignment with product leadership and enterprise client needs
• Coordinate delivery outcomes, set clear goals, and remove process friction to enhance operational efficiency across the domain

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership at the Director level or equivalent
• Proven track record of building and scaling multi-team engineering organizations from early-stage
• Experience owning or co-owning a product roadmap in collaboration with product leadership
• Deep technical credibility with familiarity in TypeScript/Node.js and AWS serverless infrastructure
• Experience with compliance programs at scale, such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS
