Director of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the engineering efforts for a comprehensive commerce platform, the full-time Director of Engineering will manage the technical vision and execution across catalog, pricing, promotions, payments, and checkout in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Own the technical vision and strategy for the commerce platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
• Define and deliver the engineering roadmap in collaboration with product and design teams to enhance user experiences

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within high-growth environments
• Proven success in leading cross-functional product engineering teams and managing end-to-end consumer experiences
• Strong technical background in modern web and service architectures, including Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS
• Experience in health tech, e-commerce, or subscription-based platforms is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent
